Fundraising progress
An anonymous non-Muslim benefactor has generously contributed a $2.5 million matching grant to the project, initiating a challenge to raise the additional funds. The AIISC Board and members of the local Muslim community have already committed $250,000.
American Institute of Islamic Studies & Culture is currently raising funds to purchase the land that will be used for the construction of the AIISC educational institute and mosque. The AIISC board believes it is crucial to build this center now, in light of widespread misconceptions about Islam and recent national and international events that have tarnished the global perception of Muslims and Islam.

AIISC members believe that isolation from society, and other Abrahamic faiths in particular, will only continue to increase the general mistrust and misunderstanding of Islam. Further, isolation does not equip Muslim youth for leading through the challenges that they will face in this new century. Building bridges of trust, friendship and understanding through interfaith dialogue will.

The AIISC Institute and mosque itself will be approximately 15,000-square-feet. The primary prayer space will accommodate 250 people. Additional space will be partitioned into classrooms, a library, a social room, a bookstore, a daycare center and possibly a gym. An architectural description and renderings are available by clicking below. It is projected that the facility will be fully operational by 2013.

Our goals for the AIISC Institute include several important educational, cultural and religious programming components. The Masjid (place of worship) will be open to all Muslims regardless of gender, race, creed or national origin for prayer religious service. Members of other faiths will be welcome visitors.
